Another Social Enterprise leader goes Corporate

Burts Bees has sold out -- well, sort of. In reality, Burts Bees has been bought by, steady yourself, Clorox for $925 million. Yup! Kudos to the owners -- it's a nice exchange if you can get it. But is this really the only future for good socially responsible enterprises. First Ben & Jerrys and then Tom's and now, Burts. Who will Al Gore be selling to....GE? |
