Says Sen. Grassley, ''I'm following up on complaints from the public and news coverage regarding certain practices at six ministries...that involve governing boards that aren't independent and allow generous salaries and housing allowances and amenities such as private jets and Rolls Royces.''

Interestingly, Grassley has been supplied his information by another self-appointed watchdog called the Trinity Foundation -- a group that "investigates and reports on fraud in religious ministries".

For sure, Oral Roberts University and its board members (who also happen to sit on the boards of each others ministries) will not rest easy while Senator Grassley pursues.  This is definitely one of my "7 Warning Signs" to a nonprofit board that "some-thing's not right".  And when a watchdog group gets engaged, watch-out!

OSU Board -- beware and get your act together starting with what's going on with your president!  Whether or not Senator Grassley and the Trinity Foundation are correct, the general public aka donors, loses trust and faith pretty quickly with such high-profile investigations.
