March of Dimes is changing the name of its annual fundraising walk to be called the March for Babies. According to the press release, March for Babies will tell the public better about the March of Dimes mission which is focused on babies. March of Dimes research indicates that marchers did not really understand what they were marching about.

But is it really all in the name? Will the public be better informed and more responsive with a new name alone? Or, isn't there a story here about how Walks are doing in the fundraising world? There are a huge number of walks raising money for everything. Will March for Babies be the distinguishing nomenclature needed to fully inform?
